The story

As with any relationship, people ask how you meet all the time. I thought this would be a good way to get it down in writing, once and for all. Someday this will be printed in our wedding program (like 10 years from now, if we stick with this pace). This is told in the third person, so as to incorporate both of our opinions and views...

Once upon a time there was a little blonde freshman at the University of Louisville. She desperately needed a job because she was broke as a joke that just ain't funny. Her momma was able to pull some strings and got her a job as a teller at a local bank-mart, you know, one of those banks that is inside of a grocery store. She was taking 18 credit hours almost every semester, so being able to work the weekends and late hours was ideal for the extra moolah.

At the same time, there just happened to be a tall, dark and handsome produce attendant at this very same grocery store! Ahhh, fate.

Several weeks went by, and both of these two were very very busy. But alas, as fate would have it, the boy noticed this girl. He began diverting his routine so as to pass by the teller counter on a regular basis. He was scoping out the goods, for sure. Several more weeks went by and the boy was very disappointed in the fact that he never had the chance to talk to the girl, and he was not going to stand for this! Something must be done!

So he went home that very night and got a new hair cut and shave. He would be noticed, damnit! He mustered all of the courage he could and marched in to work the next day and walked straight up to the bank counter. He asked where the girl was and if she would be in that day. Then he was crushed.

"She moved, man, sorry. Yesterday was her last day."

Moved?! To where? To Cincinnati? That's bullshit!

...to be continued.
