The story, part two

If you are reading along, you'll know this is part two of the story of how James and I met. If you're just now joining us, read the post, "The story", before you read this one! Or else you'll ruin it. You don't want that. And, again, this is told in the third person, so as to include both of our perspectives in the same story. Read on!

Devastation ensued after the boy found out the girl had moved. He had waited too long to say something, to introduce himself, and now he would never get the chance. The days drug on for both of them, both working full time, but now in different cities, and slowly the summer passed. Very few important things happened this summer, one of which, though, was that the boy bought his first house. He spent much of the summer beginning his great fix-up. It was enough to keep his mind off of things.

After the summer it was back to Louisville for the girl. She moved back for her second year of college, and into a large house with 3 of her best friends. She had worked all summer at the same bank, but in downtown Cincinnati. When she moved, she was lucky enough to be transferred back to the same branch of the bank she had worked at before.

The semester began and all was well. The two were going about their routines just as before unaware of what was to come, until... One day the boy came in and saw the girl working, right back where she was before, behind the teller counter at the bank. Eureka! He had an idea! Since this boy was too shy to walk right up and ask her out, he decided to have his paychecks changed from direct deposit to paper checks. Now he would have a chance to talk to her, at least once every two weeks. It was a start (I told you we have a sluggish pace).

To be continued...
