The story, part three

Thanks for hanging in so long! I promise things will start picking up here soon...

So we are back to constructed fate. The boy had his checks to deposit every two weeks, and thus, an opportunity to speak to the girl. This went on for a while. Simple "Hi," and "Bye,"s were exchanged but not much else.

Now I know it seems like so far the boy has done most of the work, but rest assured the girl had not gone without noticing. After a few visits she had his name and information memorized. She could pull up his accounts without asking for his name or anything else. Kind of creepy, right?

Anyway, they were well aware of each other... So much so that the boy had talked to his coworkers and friends about the "bank girl" on several occasions, and she had talked about the "produce boy" to her friends and roommates. Since they only knew each other from the bank and the grocery store, they didn't have much else to go on...

Until one day, walking across the beautiful campus of the University of Louisville the two crossed paths. It was a chance meeting, on a campus of over 22,000 students, the possibility was rare. But alas, here comes fate again, with a quick slap in the face.

He yelled her name, without thinking. He knew she had never really introduced herself, so that was, in fact, his turn to be creepy. She stopped and spun around, instantly recognizing who he was. They were both headed two different directions and in a hurry, so the only exchange that happened was, "Oh, hey! Sweet shirt!", from her. And off they went... two different directions.
